About the Event

The 1st International Conference of Wheat Landraces for Healthy Food Systems brings together like-minded scientists to discuss the topics of landraces, including modern populations, ancient and heritage wheat with a focus on health and nutrition as well as natural flavors and aromas.

These scientists have recognized the many problems that many modern wheat varieties are causing and have been studying alternatives to this kind of modern wheat as well as current industrialized farming systems and high speed, high volume food processing models. Read the invitation letter

* Morning sessions will be held at the Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences. The farm visit will be at the farm “Podere Santa Croce" (Argelato, BO). Busses will be provided to take delegates to the Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences from the center of the city and then to the farm and back to the city center after the banquet. Please consult the map to see the bus pick up locations.
